Haylee Designs Business Card
The main challenge for the business card was figuring out the logo, alignment and color scheme. I created a business card for my personal freelance design business. I especially love the logo for my business, Haylee Designs, it took me quite a while to decide on a logo. I had a bunny logo, a mouse logo, and a text logo. I decided on the bunny since it had the most general appeal. I improved my skills in logo design and Adobe Indesign specifically the alignment tool.

Food Truck Branding Project
I was assigned in my Mountainland Technical College Program for my Digital Design Certificate to design branding for a fictional food truck. There was various projects within the overall branding project. The first project was to pick a name, and logo. I chose Foxy Fries because of the alliteration in the name. I naturally chose a fox to represent the company’s logo with a fry colored fluff on the chest, and a secondary logo of pack of fries. I chose the branding font because it fit with the feel of the brand, and I recall seeing a font similar to it on a food truck. I chose the blue of the color palate to match the color of fries, and to contrast against the yellow I chose blue. I chose red and orange because it is commonly associated with fries and food.

Foxy Fries App Prototype
This is another school assignment, this time the assignment was to create a food delivery app for the fictional food truck company, Foxy Fries that I created branding for. The app was hard to get the navigation bar consistent with all the various screens I created. First I did the navigation bar background color in Adobe Illustrator, then switched over to Adobe XD when it proved difficult. The interactivity (prototyping) the app in Adobe XD was fairly basic to learn for me, it didn’t give me any issue.
I decided on using the yellow and blue from the color palate of the Food Truck branding, and I took the orange from the Foxy Fries logo and made it a lighter orange. I chose orange since it is commonly used for restaurants to make others hungry, and it was the complementary color of blue, so I knew it would go well with the blue background color. I also knew that the orange would go well with the yellow, because yellow is analogous to orange on the color wheel. I took the formatting and food images of the menu I made for the Food Truck branding project. Overall, I am elated and satisfied with the final result of my food truck app prototype. Most everyone that tested the app enjoyed it’s simple yet, aesthetic design.
